Independent Study for OHDELA Gifted Students
Independent study is one of the most frequently used strategies for gifted learners and will provide you with the following benefits:
¨You will be able to learn about topics of interest that you choose.
¨You will learn about research skills and will investigate a topic at an in-depth level.
¨You may choose various products to show your understanding and can utilize a
variety of technology and traditional formats to create your project.
¨You may choose to study a real-world problem and develop an original solution .
¨You will have the opportunity to display unique insight and understanding gained about the topic.
¨You will create an online portfolio to keep track of your research and data while engaging in the independent study.
¨You will have the opportunity to present their Independent Study at a project fair .
- You will be able to invite other members of the independent study group to join your wiki so that they can provide feedback and ideas to you.
- You will be able to join other classmates' wikis and follow and provide feedback to them.
